Fresh Thyme Arrives in Bloomington Sept. 30; $50 Worth of Free Groceries for First 250 Shoppers
BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Sept. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Fresh Thyme Farmers Market will officially open their newest location in Bloomington, Minnesota, at 7 a.m. Wednesday where the first 250 shoppers will receive a free reusable shopping bag filled with $50 worth of healthy, delicious groceries. The grand opening celebration will feature giveaways, free samples and family fun all weekend long.
Festivities will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:45 a.m. along with a community partners check presentation awarded to the Bloomington Fine Arts Council and Bridging in the amount of $2,500 each. A Boar's Head hot dog cart will raise funds for Good in the Hood throughout the weekend.
"We want to invite the local community to join us in celebrating the arrival of fall with fun events that everyone can enjoy," Fresh Thyme CEO Chris Sherrell said. "We can't wait to meet our new neighbors and to serve the community through fresh, healthy and organic products at affordable prices."

The Bloomington Fresh Thyme, located at 2100 W. 80 1/2 Street, will mark the first Fresh Thyme to open in Minnesota. It will be led by Store Director Greg Beckers, a native Minnesotan who has lived and worked in the Twin Cities area for over 30 years.
