French Kiss Goes From Strength to Strength in 2015
LONDON, December 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
French Kiss, a leading Russian premium hand-made confectionary firm has reviewed its 2015 performance.
Commenting on the company's results, Andrey Yakunin, Co-Founder of VIYM, a private equity firm which boasts French Kiss in its portfolio, said 'We are delighted that French Kiss continues to strengthen its position in the Russian market. In 2015, the company produced good results, demonstrating that import substitution on the domestic confectionary market is worthwhile. French Kiss has had an exciting year with the launching of new production facilities, boutiques, retail channels and a new range'.
French Kiss currently occupies a solid position in the Russian market. In addition to developing its retail network, the coming years will see the number of French Kiss chocolate boutiques nearly double, and the company actively investing in production as well as working with leading retail chains. As of today, French Kiss has concluded agreements for test retail sales in Moscow outlets of supermarket chains: Bakhetle, Viktoria, and iconic downtown Moscow store GUM.
In November, the company opened four new boutiques in Moscow. Today the company's distribution network includes 23 boutiques in Moscow and 18 franchise stores in other Russian cities.
In April 2015, French Kiss also successfully launched a new production facility in Moscow, and hired 150 new employees, enabling it to more than double its production and warehouse capacity and improve its operating efficiency. Investment in new production amounted to about 200 million roubles. French Kiss uses only natural ingredients in production, which is quality certified by the relevant agencies.
In addition to diversifying sales, the company's development strategy involves significantly expanding its range. Production of premium ice-cream has been launched and there are plans to launch a range of biscuits, cakes and baked-goods.
