FreeWave Technologies Employees Receive 33rd Consecutive Bonus Payout
Company executives reward hard work, success in line with FreeWave's continued growth by paying bonuses, based on profitability, every six months
BOULDER, Colo., July 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- FreeWave Technologies, (http://www.freewave.com), manufacturer of the most reliable, high-performance spread spectrum and licensed radios for critical data transmission, today announced it has distributed its 33rd consecutive bonus payout to its employees. Founded in 1993, FreeWave has consistently demonstrated the importance of its employees to its ongoing financial growth and success by sharing a portion of its profits with its workforce. The company has been paying bonuses, based on profitability, every six months since July of 1995.
In today's economic climate, many companies are facing challenges of paying for employee healthcare or even keeping folks employed, but FreeWave continues to lead the market and grow its business. During the past 12 months, FreeWave has increased its staff by 23 percent. In addition, the company is continuing to make investments to improve its overall quality, in product development, expanding into new markets, enhancing its already superior customer care and support, as well as improving its overall operations and infrastructure. The company offers a number of attractive benefits to its employees, including contributing 15 percent of employees' cash compensation to a company pension program; excellent healthcare and vacation benefits, including a fully paid three-week sabbatical after 10 years of service; health club assistance; paid company-wide trips to places like Vail, Las Vegas and South Beach; one week paid time off per year to volunteer for the charity of employees' choice; as well as many other perks.
"We believe that our employees are a critical asset for us, which is why we invest so much in them," explained Ashish Sharma, chief marketing officer at FreeWave. "We believe in hiring the best and the brightest, and then offering them a challenging work environment with high rewards based on their contributions. This is the reason that FreeWave continues to grow and reach new financial milestones every single year."
FreeWave develops and manufactures industry-leading wireless data radios for a number of markets and applications, such as oil and gas, military, renewable energy, electric power, water/wastewater among others. The company has chartered its road map of success based on two simple philosophies: hire smart, and listen and respond quickly to your customers. Sharma says customers are at the forefront of the company's operations every single day. "Our customers drive our success. Our employees know that everyone's contributions need to focus 110 percent on satisfying our customers first and foremost. If we keep that focus and drive, then we cannot fail."
The results speak for themselves. "We have 20 percent employees who have worked at FreeWave for more than five years and another 14 percent that have been here for more than 10. What other company can make that claim?" Sharma asks. "When you have a proven formula of success, the proof is in the results. Our employees know that is what they have here at FreeWave."
