FreeMove Alliance Expands its European Footprint With Turkcell
ISTANBUL, October 19, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Turkcell (NYSE:TKC, ISE: TCELL), the leading communications and technology company in Turkey, has joined the FreeMove Alliance the mobile telecommunications alliance between Deutsche Telekom Group, Orange France Telecom Group, TeliaSonera and TIM (Telecom Italia Group) as a partner. This move will further add to the alliance's offering to the multinational market by strengthening its foothold in Turkey, one of Europe's key business markets.
With 62 million subscribers across eight countries, Turkcell is the third largest operator in Europe in terms of subscriber numbers, supporting a growing number of multinational clients in telecommunication management. With this partnership, FreeMove now spans 36 countries across Europe, as well as the USA and Brazil.
