Free Workshops Planned for Philadelphia Area Veteran-Owned Businesses to Participate in Recovery Act Opportunities
HARRISBURG, Pa., March 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Department of General Services and the Veterans Business Advocates Committee will hold a free workshop to help veteran-owned businesses identify business opportunities under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The free workshop will be held at The Army Experience Center, 1921 Franklin Mills Circle, Philadelphia, on Wednesday, March 17 from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. This is the last of several similar workshops held across the state.
The workshop will provide an overview of the Recovery Act, discuss available business opportunities, outline resources to assist small business, and provide an opportunity to network with state agency personnel and other veteran-owned businesses. The workshop will also include panel discussions on small business resources.
Staff will be available to provide direction on the Recovery Act Veteran-owned Business Enterprise certification process as well as general information on doing business with the commonwealth.
