Why:
To honor young filmmakers from 16 states for producing exceptional counter-alcohol ads
Because:
-- The more alcohol ads kids see, the more likely they are to drink, drink to excess and drink more often
-- Estimates indicate as many as 30 million underage youth view more ads for beer than for any other product during the Super Bowl
-- It is well established that teens that begin drinking before 15 are four times more likely to develop alcohol dependence than those who wait until they are 21
-- 10.7 million underage youth drink, 7.2 million binge drink and alcohol related problems from this drinking cost the country $60 billion dollars annually
