Free H1N1 Vaccines Available at Concentra Urgent Care

ADDISON, Texas, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Concentra announced today it will begin offering free H1N1 vaccines to all persons, available through select Concentra medical center locations. The once-scarce H1N1 vaccine is now available at select Concentra Urgent Care locations in 22 states.
With states lifting priority group vaccination restrictions, Concentra is able to offer free H1N1 vaccines to anyone in those states who wants a vaccination. Free H1N1 vaccinations are available at select Concentra Urgent Care locations on a walk-in basis, no appointment is necessary. Free H1N1 vaccines are currently available at:
- Select Concentra Urgent Care locations in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Concentra provides flu vaccines to patients 4 years of age and older. No appointment is necessary, walk-ins are welcome. According to Federal health officials, nearly 10,000 persons in the U.S. have died from the H1N1 virus since the new virus strain first appeared in April of last year. In addition, approximately one out of every six people in the nation has been stricken with the virus. Public health officials predict flu activity – caused either by the H1N1 virus or traditional seasonal flu viruses – to continue for months. The H1N1 vaccine is the most effective protection against the H1N1 virus, is completely safe, and recommended for every person.
