Workshops provide 35 opportunities for valuable professional learning
BEAVERTON, Ore., Sept. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Vernier Software & Technology will host 35 free, hands-on workshops to help science and STEM educators integrate data-collection technology into their curriculum. This fall and taking place in cities nationwide, each four-hour workshop will be led by an experienced science education instructor who will work alongside educators as they explore classroom-ready labs that incorporate the award-winning line of data-collection technology from Vernier.
"Whether new to probeware or an avid user, our workshops provide a valuable professional learning opportunity for all science and STEM teachers," said John Wheeler, CEO of Vernier Software & Technology. "Our workshops provide educators with training, knowledge, and best practices they can bring back to the classroom to engage students in hands-on scientific discovery."
During the workshops, educators will learn important skills and strategies for integrating data-collection technology into their physics, chemistry, biology, and environmental/Earth Science experiments to help meet the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Each participating educator will receive, in addition to the training, a link to download Vernier Workshop Training Manual, which includes ready-to-use lab handouts for all science disciplines.
