Under Norman Jay's mentorship, each artist has created a contemporary version of the classic rumba rhythm, preserving the original elements, and basing it within their own genre. The tracks are all available for free download now at http://bit.ly/Bacardi_OMI
Norman and the acts travelled to Puerto Rico to immerse themselves in the heritage of BACARDI, before combining their UK beat-based music with the rhythms of Latin America. They worked with local musicians, DJs and producers to gain inspiration for their tracks and learn about the real rumba experience.
As pioneers in their respective genres, all three acts were selected for the BACARDI Pioneers project to bring to life the brand's musical heritage and pioneering spirit.
An Untold tune is highly distinguishable; all compact bass lines that punish, with clean percussion that clicks and drives instinctively. "Molasses Guaguancó" ( http://www.bacardi.com/#/uk/en-gb/onlinemusicinfluencer/details/artist/untold ) fuses Untold's highly distinctive dub step style with the percussive rhythms of the classic rumba. Untold has delivered a unique and alternative dedication to authentic Puerto Rican culture.
Reso is gaining worldwide notoriety for his technoid-inspired productions which often transcend the dub step genre. His aural identity is a high octane tapestry, rich with musical texture and colour. His natural love of drumming shines through on "Boriken Groove." ( http://www.bacardi.com/#/uk/en-gb/onlinemusicinfluencer/details/artist/reso) With its frantic and energetic DnB/dub step beats, the track is sure to smash dancefloors around the world at the peak of any set.
Dubbed the 'darlings of the revitalized party scene', Disco Bloodbath is at the heart of the capital's disco renaissance. "El Morro" ( http://www.bacardi.com/#/uk/en-gb/onlinemusicinfluencer/details/artist/discob loodbath) reworks the rumba rhythm in a deep, vintage house electro style. This musical journey, with Latin roots, brings to life the spirit of the rumba through its building synths and disco beats.

In 1862, in Santiago de Cuba, founder Don Facundo Bacardà Massó revolutionized the spirits industry when he created the world's first premium white rum - BACARDI. The unique taste of BACARDI Rum inspired cocktail pioneers to invent some of the world's most famous drinks including the Mojito, the Daiquirà and the Cuba Libre.
Today, BACARDI rum is made in the hot, but perfect conditions of the Caribbean where it is crafted to ensure that the taste remains the same today as it did when it was first blended in 1862.
