Fred Jordan Mission Celebrates Mother's Day On Skid Row Today, Saturday, May 7th

Hundreds of impoverished mothers, women, men, and children will celebrate Mother's Day at the Fred Jordan Mission and receive special gifts, toys and family food bags.

Volunteers from throughout Southern California will be preparing and serving delicious Baked Chicken Lunches to hundreds of homeless men, women and children.

Hear from Willie Jordan, the only female President of homeless Mission on Skid Row, and is the mother of seven children herself.  Willie, and her late husband Fred Jordan, brought their seven children to Skid Row every holiday for the last 50 years, where they helped serve the less fortunate before having their own holiday celebrations. 

Each impoverished mother will receive a personalized gift bag and fresh flowers to make sure she feels special and honored.
