FRAMINGHAM, Mass., June 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cumberland Farms, a leading gasoline and convenience retailer, and f'real foods, the San Francisco Bay Area based innovator of milkshakes and smoothies, raised $10,000 for Make-A-Wish® to help grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
On May 20th, Cumberland Farms and f'real sponsored a $0.99 f'real day, during which customers purchased f'real milkshakes, smoothies and frozen coffees for only $0.99. For every f'real purchased, Cumberland Farms and f'real donated $0.25 to Make-A-Wish.
"To help raise money for such an amazing organization was very gratifying and a lot of fun," said Ari Haseotes, CEO of Cumberland Farms, who helped to blend milkshakes and smoothies at the event alongside Dinsh Guzdar, president of f'real foods. "It was a wonderful experience for both our employees and our customers."
Make-A-Wish grants more than 14,000 wishes every year and is committed to ensuring that every eligible child's wish is granted. Their success is made possible by donations from individuals and organizations all over the world.
Dinsh Guzdar stated, "Make-A-Wish is a natural fit for f'real because both companies seek to bring happiness to kids. f'real is all about putting smiles on the faces of kids and adults alike and we are proud to help contribute to the Make-A-Wish mission. f'real is also pleased to be offering a Limited Time Only milkshake, Raffi's Frosted Cupcake, in December – a flavor created by a Make-A-Wish child during a Flavor Creation Day at f'real's headquarters."
