WHAT: News conference to discuss how overturning "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" will seriously undermine the religious liberties of those serving in the all-volunteer force, most particularly military chaplains.
WHO: Tony Perkins, President, Family Research Council
Congressman Jack Kingston (R-GA)
Douglas Lee, Chaplain (Brigadier General) USA (Ret)
Kevin Theriot, Senior Counsel, Alliance Defense Fund
Pastors from Key States

The news conference will be held on the same day that Speaker Pelosi is expected to bring the issue to a floor vote, and Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin (D-MI) is expected to attempt adding an amendment to the Defense Authorization bill. Yesterday, FRC released a new policy paper that thoroughly explains the history of this issue and the 1993 law that currently governs it, while also providing solid arguments as to why that law should be maintained.
