Washington Watch with Tony Perkins will provide a fresh new perspective on inside-the-beltway news by offering a distinctly Christian conservative worldview.
"Radio has become an extremely important component of our outreach from here in Washington, D.C.," Perkins said. "This is especially true as we seek to keep the Christian community informed and equipped to respond to the policy and cultural challenges of our day.
"We will offer a pro-family perspective on what's happening each day in our nation's capital, and will regularly feature many of America's leading political and religious figures," Perkins added.
Guests for the first week:
Monday, January 7: Sen. David Vitter (R-LA), Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA)
Tuesday, January 8: Former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AK), Louisiana Secretary of State Tom Schedler
Wednesday, January 9: Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA), Dr. David Jeremiah
The show will air from 5-6 p.m. Eastern, beginning on the AFR network and expanding to other stations and networks. FRC's current weekly half-hour weekend show will continue to broadcast across the country as it has done for the last 8 years.
