FRC to Host Panel Discussion on President Obama's International Religious Freedom Record

WASHINGTON, Oct. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, October 26, at Noon Eastern, Family Research Council will host a panel discussion about religious persecution around the world and how U.S. policy on religious freedom is a compelling national interest. Religious persecution is on the rise throughout the world, according to a recent report by The Pew Research Center's Forum on Religion and Public Life.

This prestigious panel of religious freedom experts will discuss how the Obama administration's culture of accommodation has lead to an increase in persecution of religious minorities in countries like Egypt, Nigeria, and Pakistan. The panel will also analyze the administration's response to concerns like the arrest of Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, who is facing the death sentence for refusing to recant his faith in Christ.
