WASHINGTON, Jan. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Family Research Council will host Dr. Os Guinness, an expert in faith, public policy and international relations, this week as he lectures on the future of freedom in the United States. Entitled, "Can Freedom Last Forever? The Founders' Forgotten Question, and Where the U.S. is Today," Guinness's lecture will be held at FRC and be webcast live.

Guinness grew up in China during the Chinese Civil War. In 1951, he left China with his family for England, where he earned an undergraduate degree at the University of London and a D.Phil. in social sciences from Oriel College at the University of Oxford.
Guinness has worked as a freelance journalist for the BBC and as a scholar at the Brookings Institute and the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Affairs. He has written and edited over 25 books, including The American Hour and Unspeakable: Facing up to Evil in an Age of Genocide and Terror. He drafted "The Williamsburg Charter," a bicentennial celebration of the importance of the Constitution's guarantee of religious liberty.
