FRC Action's Values Bus to Complete 100th Stop in North Carolina Tomorrow - Reaching Every County Bus Tour Urges Support for North Carolina's Pat McCrory, Dan Forest, Buck Newton
WASHINGTON, Nov. 4, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tomorrow morning, Family Research Council Action's Values Bus tour will make its 100th stop in North Carolina, completing its tour of the state's 100 counties. The Values Bus will reach the milestone tomorrow morning in Franklin County. By Election Day, FRC Action's ground team will also reach its goal of contacting 153,000 North Carolina voters through door-to-door efforts and phone calls. FRC Action PAC, the political action committee connected with Family Research Council Action has previously endorsed three candidates for the state of North Carolina; Pat McCrory for governor, Dan Forest for lieutenant governor, and Buck Newton for attorney general.
Family Research Council Action President Tony Perkins who traveled with the bus tour this week released the following statement:
"Over the past two months FRC Action's Values Bus tour has traveled coast to coast to encourage and equip voters to vote their values on November 8th. We've had the pleasure of joining with Gov. McCrory, Lt. Gov. Forest, and Sen. Newton during this tour of all 100 North Carolina counties. Our nation is in need of bold leaders who are committed to starting conversations on the important issues and turning those conversations into action.
"Each of these men have displayed great leadership in response to Hurricane Matthew and the devastation it has caused to North Carolinians. While the media has moved on to focus on other things, the state is still rebuilding and there is much to do. Pat, Dan, and Buck recognize this and will help the state make a full recovery.
"Under their leadership, working families of North Carolina have benefited from their results-driven rather than politics-driven policies. Unemployment in North Carolina has dropped by almost 38% to its lowest unemployment rate in eight years. During their times in office North Carolina saw a 13.4% increase in GDP since 2013 and became the fastest growing economy in the United States. By putting the interest of their constituents first and displaying fiscal responsibility on spending, taxes, and intrusive government red tape, they have helped North Carolina families prosper amidst a struggling national economy.
"We have noticed Gov. McCrory's, Lt. Gov. Forest's, and Sen. Newton's tireless efforts to advocate for conservative principles. They have demonstrated leadership in standing up to the Charlotte City Council's overreaching policy that would have opened up women's locker rooms, changing facilities, and bathrooms to men.
"We encourage those who care about the future of our nation and our freedoms to support them and vote early up until November 5th, or on Election Day, November 8th," concluded Perkins.
