FRC Action Releases Values Voter Summit Presidential Straw Poll Ballot
Straw Poll Ballot to Feature 17 Possible Presidential Candidates
WASHINGTON, Sept. 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Next week, Family Research Council Action will hold its 2012 presidential straw poll during its fifth annual Values Voter Summit. The ballot will feature 17 possible presidential candidates, several of whom will be speaking at the Summit – Michele Bachmann, Jan Brewer, Chris Christie, Mitch Daniels, Jim DeMint, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, Bob McDonnell, Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, Tim Pawlenty, Mike Pence, Marco Rubio, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and Rick Santorum.
"The first 2012 presidential primaries may be more than a year away but values voters are already surveying the very wide field of possible candidates," said Family Research Council Action President Tony Perkins. "Recent primary elections demonstrate that conservative voters are looking to vote and work hard for those candidates who have distinguished themselves on both fiscal and social issues. This early test of the presidential field will provide an early indication of who might be the candidate of real change in 2012."
The line-up of speakers at the Values Voter Summit includes: Senator Jim DeMint (R-S.C.), former Senator Rick Santorum, Representatives Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) and Mike Pence (R-Ind.), current and former governors Bob McDonnell (R-Va.), Mike Huckabee, and Mitt Romney, Dr. Bill Bennett, David Limbaugh, the Duggar family, Phyllis Schalfly, Lila Rose and many more.
FRC Action's Values Voter Summit is cosponsored by American Family Association Action, American Values, The Heritage Foundation, Liberty University, Liberty Counsel and Family Research Council. The Summit will be held September 17-19 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. An exhibit hall, book signings, new media row sponsored by Media Research Center and much more will be packed into this three-day conference. On Saturday evening, American Family Association Chairman Emeritus Don Wildmon will be honored at a gala dinner and receive the fourth annual James C. Dobson Vision and Leadership Award.
