FRC Action PAC Launches Statewide Radio Ad Campaign Urging Floridians to Stop Governor Charlie Crist
WASHINGTON, June 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Family Research Council Action PAC launched a statewide radio ad campaign today in response to Governor Charlie Crist's veto of commonsense ultrasound legislation. The ad will air across the state over the next week on 74 Florida radio stations.
Governor Crist vetoed a law passed by both Houses of the Florida legislature which prescribes an ultrasound prior to every abortion. Women would have been allowed to view the live ultrasound images, though they would have been informed that they have the right to decline to view them under the law. The governor issued the veto only days after removing a pro-life section from his campaign website.
The ad states, "Governor Charlie Crist used to claim to be pro-life. Now he's just pro-Crist. Since leaving his party he's decided he'd rather be pro-abortion, removing the pro-life section from his website and vetoing a bill that would allow women to see an ultrasound of their child before having an abortion."
The ad also endorses Marco Rubio for the U.S. Senate. "This November vote a principled leader into the U.S. Senate. Vote Marco Rubio, pro-family, pro-life."
The ad concludes, "To stop Charlie Crist visit stopcharlie.com."
The radio advertisement can be heard at www.stopcharlie.com.
