CAXIAS DO SUL, Brazil, March 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fras-le SA (BM&F Bovespa FRAS3 and FRAS4), a Randon Company, which is one of the largest manufacturers of friction materials in Latin America and one of the leading companies in its segment worldwide, reports its 2009 fourth quarter results (4Q09) and results for the twelve months of the year, ended as of December 31, 2009. The financial and operating statements of the Company are consolidated and the monetary values are denominated in Reais, according to Corporate Law, except where otherwise indicated. Comparisons are made with the fourth quarter of 2008 (4Q08) and with the twelve months of the year ended as of December 31, 2008.

MAIN RESULTS OF 4Q09

-- Total gross revenue, before consolidation: R$ 162.5 million, or 25.3% up from 4Q08;

-- Consolidated net revenue: R$ 117.1 million or 22.4% up from 4Q08;

-- Fras-le Brazil Exports: (FOB): US$ 22.9 million or 7.5% higher than 4Q08;

-- EBITDA: R$ 17.7 million or 22.1% over 4Q08;

-- Consolidated gross income: R$ 37.4 million or 22.2% over 4Q08;

-- Consolidated net income: R$ 16.3 million or 27.2 times higher than 4Q08.

MAIN RESULTS OF 2009

-- Total gross revenues before consolidation: R$ 595.3 million or 0.5% up from 2008;

-- Consolidated net income: R$ 428.1 million or 1.0% less than 2008;

-- Fras-le Brazil Exports (FOB): U$$ 81.0 million, a 5.0% decrease compared to 2008;

    -- EBITDA: R$ 53.9 million or 19.9% down from 2008;
    -- Consolidated gross income: R$ 130.1 million or 0.3% up from 2008;
    -- Consolidated net income: R$ 43.9 million or 72.2% up from 2008.
