Franchise Sales Sizzle at CUPS Frozen Yogurt -- That's Hot™
Eight Franchise Area Development Agreements Signed
LIVINGSTON, N.J., July 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Franchise sales are not dead, but they are frozen.
CUPS Frozen Yogurt – That's Hot, the beach-themed self-serve fro-yo concept, has announced the signing of eight new area development agreements representing 18 franchise units in New Jersey and Florida.
Since opening the first CUPS in Clifton, New Jersey in November, 2010, CUPS has taken a leadership position in the self serve frozen yogurt industry becoming the local hot spot for teenagers and adults alike who make their own fro-yo concoctions choosing from 24 yogurt flavors and over 50 different toppings and three sauces.
"We are thrilled that our franchise development has really taken off and are excited to add eight new franchise partners to the CUPS team," said Rick Barbrick, CUPS co-founder.
Kenny Jaffal, Woodbridge, New Jersey, a veteran in the restaurant/retail business and new CUPS franchise partner, says CUPS was the best franchise opportunity due to the "it" factor.
"We looked at a lot of other frozen yogurt companies and CUPS has clearly distanced itself from the rest of the crowd. With every detail, from the music, decor, atmosphere and product offering, it is obvious CUPS made the choice to be the best in the industry," said Jaffal, "When you go to CUPS, it is hot and happening. Need a second opinion? Go to CUPS and you'll see for yourself."
According to Barbrick, CUPS was designed around the experience.
"It's more of a club like experience. We pump out club dance music at volumes that create a highly energetic vibe, a lounge-type design with couches, ottomans and eclectic murals; and Cast Members with infectiously fun personalities. It's the complete experience that gives us that edgy vibe versus an everyday yogurt bar or ice cream shop experience," said Barbrick.
CUPS also opened its eighth company location last week in Secaucus, New Jersey. Additional company locations in New Jersey and New York are slated to open later this summer. CUPS is currently allowed to sell franchises in 37 states. With applications for registry in California, Rhode Island, Virginia, Maryland and Illinois pending, CUPS will soon be selling in 42 states.
CUPS is owned by CUPS, LLC. The conglomerate entity - The Briad Group has other brands within their portfolio. The entities are: licensed franchisees for Wendy's®, T.G.I. Friday's®, Corner Bakery Cafe, Marriott, Hilton and a licensee for Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar. With 69 locations, The Briad Restaurant Group is the largest T.G.I. Friday's franchisee in the world.
