ATLANTA, March 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Franchise opportunities are growing in the Philadelphia market with Primrose Schools®, a high-quality early education and care provider with more than 295 schools independently owned and operated coast-to-coast. The company, which experienced record geographic expansion last year, is seeking potential Franchise Owners in the Philadelphia area at the Franchise & Business Opportunities Show on March 21-22 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.
Last year, Primrose opened 19 new schools and awarded 45 franchise agreements, leading to a 13.5 percent increase in overall system revenue from 2013 to 2014. It opens its 300th school in Atlanta this spring, marking another major milestone for the franchise brand.
"Demand for high-quality preschools is growing in Philadelphia and across the country," said Chris Goethe, vice president of franchising for Primrose Schools. "We're looking for driven entrepreneurs who share our passion for early education to help fill this need and advance our mission of forging a path that leads to a brighter future for all children."
According to Entrepreneur, children's franchises were among the top five growing franchise industries last year. Industry research firm IBISWorld predicts the child care franchise industry will continue to grow at an average annual rate of 2.6 percent to $54.5 billion by 2019. It attributes the projected growth to increasing disposable income, which is allowing families to spend more on high-value services. At the same time, Forbes reports more people are seeking meaningful and rewarding careers, such as opening early education and child care schools.
"A few years ago, I was at a point in my life where I wanted to have a more fulfilling career – one where I could pursue my interest in business while also shaping the lives of young children," said Diane Szamborski, Franchise Owner of Primrose School of Royersford, the first Primrose school in Pennsylvania. "I found out about Primrose through a postcard and was immediately drawn to the company and all that it stands for after doing my due diligence and research."
Primrose School of Royersford grew from 20 to 200 children within the first year of being open. Szamborski attributes the fast-paced growth primarily to word-of-mouth. She's already planning to open another Primrose school in the future. "Primrose truly offers a high-quality, premium early education and care experience. Our families need child care, but after they tour the school, they want to enroll in Primrose."
Primrose has identified 11 Philadelphia-area communities ready for immediate expansion due to strong demand for high-quality early education and care, entrepreneurial interest and available real estate opportunities. These include: Lower Makefield, Doylestown, Jamison, Maple Glen, Ambler, Montgomeryville, Kulpsville, Collegeville, Lionville, Exton and Chadds Ford.
