Franchise In Eastern Washington & North Idaho Changes Hands
Local Entrepreneur Purchases Inland Northwest American Leak Detection Franchise Territory
SPOKANE, Wash., Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Margaret Cassidy, a Hayden, Idaho resident, acquired an American Leak Detection (ALD) franchise in Spokane and North Idaho this month. Like all ALD franchisees, Cassidy will offer her customers leak detection without destruction.
"I knew I wanted a change in my life," said Cassidy, who spent 25 years in the international manufacturing business. "I've always wanted to own my own business and American Leak Detection has allowed me to provide a service that saves people money and helps protect a precious resource. It's a win-win."
In December of 2014, Cassidy completed intensive training away from her husband and two kids to become a certified "Original Leak Specialist." She and her team of three provide a variety of leak detection services including pool and slab leak detection, electromagnetic pipeline location and infrared leak detection.
The team uses a variety of exclusive equipment and utilizes cutting-edge technology to find leaks without causing damage to a customer's property. She's looking to expand the municipal and rural services sector, which is already a significant component of her business, established by long-time previous owners, Joe and Patti Godwin.
"I am proud to offer ALD's tried and true services," said Cassidy. "Being a part of an internationally known company is priceless and so is being my own boss."
"We are pleased to welcome Margaret Cassidy to our family of franchisees," says Patrick DeSouza, President and CEO of ALD. "Margaret is committed to creating her own success. Finding leaks isn't just a job, but a career that many people are enthusiastic about. Our franchisees save customers money, minimize property damage, and help conserve our most precious resource – water."
Cassidy now covers an area serving over 1.5 million people in Spokane, Tri-Cities, Yakima, Moses Lake, Wenatchee, the Idaho panhandle, and more. When she's not busy running her franchise, she enjoys watching her son row and her daughter swim competitively. In the summer her family enjoys boating on Lake Pend Oreille. As she says, "I guess we are all just water people."
