HOMETOWN, Ill., Feb. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Frances L. Hagemann is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Non-Profit Organizations. Frances is on the Board of Directors at the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian.
Established in 1977, the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian has been preserving the culture of the American Indian through various resources, collections, exhibits, programs and activities. Frances is an American Indian as part of the Ojibwe/Metis tribe under the Canadian constitution through her great grandmother.
Specializing in American Indian history, writing, editing and publishing, Frances utilizes her native skillset to interpret native documentation and share historical and cultural information through her writings and public speaking.
The author of "A History of American Indians of the Chicago Metropolitan Region and the Western Great Lakes," Frances is a noted "Scholar in Residence" at the Newberry Library in Chicago, IL.
Recognized as a VIP Woman of The Year by the National Association of Professional Women, Frances enjoys going to concerts and walking in her free time. In addition to her service with the Mitchell Museum, she also serves on the board of directors of the American Indian Health Services of Chicago.
A graduate of Chicago State University, Frances earned her Master of Arts in History and Bachelor of Science in History Education.
