Dynamic Young Breitling Energy Corp Founder is Fearless Educator and Industry Advocate
DALLAS, Dec. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the oil and gas industry's most outspoken advocates, Chris Faulkner, founder and CEO of Breitling Energy Corporation, has been named to the Dallas Business Journal's Who's Who in Energy List. The listing is the latest in several honors for Faulkner and his company, including awards for Industry Leader and Exploration and Production Company of the Year from the 2013 Oil & Gas Awards Southwest Region, Best Independent Oil and Gas Company by World Finance in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Faulkner is also a finalist for CEO of the Year Award for the 2013 Platts Global Energy Awards.
The Dallas Business Journal's Who's Who highlights the industry's top "movers and shakers" across the country, recognizing those whose position, knowledge or expertise helps guide the sector. A born-and-bred Texan under 40 years of age, Faulkner fosters no-holds-barred discussions around the controversial topic of hydraulic fracturing (fracking) mining. His fearlessness and forthrightness have earned him a reputation as an educator and advocate for the technique, along with the sobriquet "Frack Master" by industry journalists for his leadership.
As a result, Faulkner has written or been featured in more than 400 articles and interviews since 2011 in a range of top national, network affiliate and trade news media outlets, including Reuters, Bloomberg, US News & World Report, FOX Business News, CNBC, AP, Businessweek, Financial Times, UPI, Business News Network, and Los Angeles Times. He is also a regular columnist for Energy & Mining International and Oil & Gas Monitor.
"Dallas is a leader in the oil and gas industry, and I am honored to be named among the Dallas Who's Who in Energy," said Faulkner. "Inclusion on this list underscores our commitment to using technology to improve the safety and efficiency of oil and gas exploration while tackling the tough conversations needed to get the job done."
Faulkner is one of the most dynamic young CEO's in the country today, having launched a variety of successful businesses before establishing Breitling Oil and Gas in 2004. Under his guidance, the company has doubled in size every year since 2009 and the company was named Best Independent Oil and Gas Company, North America by World Finance in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Faulkner equally prizes community involvement, and is active in Dallas Performing Arts, Texas CAN-DO, American Heart Association, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. He spearheaded a Breitling community outreach program to foster improved communications, and a corporate social responsibility program to ensure environmentally friendly practices.
