Frac Site Total Dust Control Solution Awarded 3rd Patent
TULSA, Okla., Feb. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- AIRIS Wellsite Services continues to display its market-leading expertise in announcing the issuance of a third patent for its proprietary dust control technology. This patent (US Patent No. 9,505,569) underscores the effectiveness of AIRIS's products and services, and illustrates the company's commitment to continuous innovation around its proven technology.
This new patent covers AIRIS's unique, unobtrusive, and universally adaptable dust control solution. The patented AIRIS process uses targeted vacuum technology at multiple points of silica dust generation to eliminate the risk of respirable crystalline silica exposure.
"AIRIS has been successfully operating this equipment at wellsites since 2009," says AIRIS Wellsite Services CEO Brendan Ryan. "Following the AIRIS operating procedures, we have demonstrated through repeated test results that we bring clients below exposure limits defined by OSHA."
The system is adaptable to all forms of proppant storage devices and all frac site setups. Additionally, the AIRIS solution involves elevating its equipment, thereby producing a safer wellsite by eliminating trip hazards and visibility obstructions.
"Our system, both in size and configuration, allows us to address all sources of generated respirable crystalline silica," adds Ryan. "We want to see a harm-free wellsite. That means eliminating exposure to respirable crystalline silica while ensuring that engineering controls introduce no additional hazards to the wellsite."
The first to market with an effective total dust control solution, AIRIS was previously awarded patents for its equipment and processes in October 2013 (US Patent No. 8,562,720) and January 2014 (US Patent No. 8,636,832).
AIRIS remains committed to innovating and protecting its proprietary technology and currently has 13 additional patent applications pending before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Two more patent applications are pending before the Canada Intellectual Property Office.
