FPSO Network to launch inaugural FPSO Brazil Congress 2018 in Rio de Janeiro
SINGAPORE, March 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Brazil is poised to retain its mantle as the world's largest market for FPSOs over the next decade with state-owned Petrobras leading the charge with 13 FPSOs already under construction and another 19 FPSOs being planned.
On the back of these developments, the FPSO Network (a division of IQPC) is pleased to announce the launch of the FPSO Brazil Congress 2018, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro from 29-30 May 2018. The Congress is part of the highly successful global series of FPSO conferences, of which the FPSO World Congress remains the largest gathering of FPSO professionals globally.
The FPSO Brazil Congress 2018 will bring together senior officers from local and international oil companies; leading global FPSO contractors; and various vendors, consultants and financiers involved across the entire life-cycle of an FPSO project.
They will discuss various issues affecting the Brazilian FPSO industry including vessel design, project execution, technological developments, financing, asset integrity, repairs, decommissioning, supply chain requirements and regulations.
Among the top-level delegates that will be presenting at the Congress is Dimitrios Chalela Magalhães, Manager, Strategic Sourcing and Category Management for Petrobras. He will examine Brazil's future FPSO requirements for while providing an overview of Petrobras' existing portfolio and needs for the next 5 years.
There will also be case-studies on successful FPSO projects in Brazil including OCYAN's FPSO Pioneiro de Libra and Queiroz Galvão Exploração e Produção's (QGEP) FPSO Petrojarl I.
