Growing Political Client List Brings New Hires
WASHINGTON, Jan. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- FP1 Strategies, LLC today announced the addition of two new members to its team. Trent Wisecup and Molly Mathews have been hired to help serve FP1's growing list of political clients. They are part of a larger and growing staff, which also includes public affairs professionals.
Trent Wisecup joins FP1 Strategies after two decades of working as a consultant to Republican candidates and campaign committees. Most recently, Wisecup was a partner at the Revolution Agency. During the 2012 election cycle, he served as a strategist to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), directing a dozen independent expenditure campaigns and playing a central role in defending the Republican majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.
During his career, Wisecup has served as a strategist and media consultant for former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander and former U.S. Senator Spence Abraham. He has also served as a consultant to the Republican National Committee (RNC), Republican Governors Association (RGA), National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to his political work in the United States, Wisecup served as a senior strategist to the re-election campaign of Tanzania President Jakaya Kikwete in 2010, and has developed issue advocacy campaigns and public relations strategies for General Motors, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Philip Morris International, the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) and Coalition for a Democratic Workplace (CDW).
Molly Mathews comes to FP1 Strategies from Fox News. At Fox, Mathews was an assignment editor and worked on various programs, including Special Report with Bret Baier, Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace and America's News Headquarters. Mathews worked closely with national correspondents to develop daily news reports and stories, and conducted research that shaped future programming.

Rob Jesmer recently joined FP1 Strategies as its fourth partner. Most recently, Jesmer was executive director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC). During his four years as executive director, Jesmer oversaw an effort that netted five GOP seats and raised over $200 million. In addition to his work at the NRSC, Jesmer managed Senator John Cornyn's successful re-election campaign in 2008 and served as the southeast RNC Regional Political Director in 2006.
