FP1 Recognized For Best TV Ad Of 2014
Firm Takes Home Three Reed Awards
WASHINGTON, Jan. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Campaigns & Elections magazine awarded FP1 Strategies with three of its prestigious Reed Awards over the weekend, including the award for Best TV Ad of 2014. FP1 produced the ad, "Values," on behalf of Senator Dan Sullivan's successful campaign for Alaska's U.S. Senate seat. The spot told the powerful story of Wayne Woods who lost his son, Army Specialist Shane Woods, in Iraq in 2006.
In addition to Values, FP1 was awarded the "Best Campaign Comeback" award for its advertising campaign on behalf of Kansas Senator Pat Roberts. The firm's spot, "Appalling," was also recognized for the "Best Ad for Independent Expenditure Campaign" on behalf of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) in support of Iowa Senator Joni Ernst's campaign.
"We are grateful to Campaigns & Elections and extremely proud of the three Reed Awards, which are recognition of the hard work and creativity of our team," said FP1 founding partner Jon Downs. "Most of all, FP1 is proud of our great clients whose stories we were fortunate enough to tell. We are also very happy that so many people in Alaska and around the country were able to hear Wayne Woods' powerful story and his hope for the future of America."
Said FP1 founding partner Terry Nelson, "FP1 is fortunate to have worked with a number of great teams this past election. With the NRSC, we helped send Joni Ernst to the United States Senate. We are also proud to have been a part of a great team that that joined Senator Pat Roberts last September and helped him secure a come-from-behind victory. Our entire team would like to thank Campaigns & Elections for its recognition."
This year's awards continue the recognition FP1 has received for its work. In 2013, the firm won Reed Awards for both "Best TV Spot: Statewide or Special Election Campaign" and "Best TV Spot: Independent Expenditure, Public Affairs Advocacy, or Ballot Initiative."
