FP1 Recognized For Best 2013 Public Affairs, Campaign Ads
WASHINGTON, Feb. 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Campaigns & Elections magazine recently chose FP1 Strategies LLC for two of its prestigious Reed Awards. The annual awards recognize the most impactful and successful political, public affairs and grassroots endeavors for the previous year. In 2013, FP1 Strategies was recognized for the following categories: "Best TV Spot: Statewide of Special Election Campaign" and "Best TV Spot: Independent Expenditure, Public Affairs Advocacy, or Ballot Initiative."
The two ads – "Haynesworth" for the Cuccinelli for Governor Campaign and "Addicted" for Public Notice – were developed and produced by FP1 Partner Jon Downs and the firm's creative team. Each garnered significant earned media coverage and yielded a positive, quantifiable impact on both campaigns.
The fact that Campaigns & Elections recognized both ads is also a testament to the range and diversity of FP1's work. "Haynesworth" was emotionally moving – even for ardent opponents of Attorney General Cuccinelli. "Addicted," meanwhile, made viewers laugh. And while both ads came from opposite ends of the spectrum, they both succeeded in delivering each campaign's message forcefully and memorably.
"We are thankful to Campaign & Elections for recognizing FP1's work and to the hardworking members of our team who made both ads possible," said FP1 Partner Jon Downs. "FP1 strives to produce work that is unique in its creativity and has strategic precision. We think 'Haynesworth' and 'Addicted' are both good examples of that commitment and our overall vision as a firm."
"At FP1, we pride ourselves on the amount of thought and work that goes into every product that we put out," said FP1 Partner Danny Diaz. "The end result is ads that break through the clutter and capture the attention of the audience. We are thankful to Attorney General Cuccinelli and Public Notice for giving us the opportunity to produce great work on their behalf."
