NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting in New Orleans, FOX Rehabilitation (Booth #261), a clinician-owned and operated professional private practice of physical, occupational, and speech therapists that provides proactive, clinically excellent and evidence-based treatment interventions to the older population, announces that 21 clinicians* will be receiving their board certified Geriatric Clinical Specialists certification and one will be receiving his board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist certification.

The Geriatric Certified Specialist (GCS) Exam, administrated by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS), is a certification process for physical therapists that are committed to providing the best evidence-based care to older adults. The Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification process requires a minimum of 2,000 hours of direct client practice. "FOX Rehabilitation is now home to 55 Geriatric Clinical Specialists; a testament to our commitment to providing evidence based care to the older adult community," added Dr. Fox.
