Fox Business Host Headlines 2012 TMA Distressed Investing Conference
CHICAGO, Dec. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Accomplished business journalist Stuart Varney, who helped establish CNN's business news team, is keynote speaker for the 2012 Turnaround Management Association Distressed Investing Convention, January 18-20, at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
On the Fox Business Network, Varney examines the interplay of economic and political issues, whether the context is Greek debt or budget woes in California. Varney, who joined the network as an anchor in 2007, hosts "Varney & Co." and appears regularly with Fox News Channel personalities Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly, and its "America Live" anchor Megyn Kelly.
Varney joined CNN when it launched in 1980 and helped found the business news team. He co-anchored "Moneyline News Hour" and hosted "Your Money," "Business Day" and "Business Asia." His reporting on the 1987 stock market crash contributed to CNN earning a Peabody Award for journalism excellence. Varney also hosted CNBC's "Wall Street Journal Editorial Board with Stuart Varney." A graduate of the London School of Economics, he began his career as a business anchor for San Francisco's KEMO-TV.
