WASHINGTON, Feb. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Foundation for Financial Planning (FFP), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, announced that it has elected three new members to its Board of Trustees: Mary Pat Roenbeck, CIMA®, Managing Director at BlackRock; Eileen Sharkey, CFP®, Principal at Sharkey, Howes & Javer, Inc.; and Dave Yeske, CFP®, Managing Director at Yeske Buie Inc. Kacy Gott, CFP® will continue to serve as board Chair.
FFP's Board of Trustees is made up of leading financial planner practitioners, as well as leaders from some of the nation's top financial services companies, including AIG Financial Distributors, Fidelity Investments, Pershing Advisor Solutions, Schwab Advisor Services, Starwood Capital, TD Ameritrade Institutional, and now BlackRock.

"We will be actively seeking new ideas and strategies for best supporting this group, as well as the many other Americans who are in critical need of quality financial advice but struggle to access it."

Mary Pat Roenbeck, CIMA®, is Managing Director, Head of National Accounts for the Independent channel within US Wealth Advisory at BlackRock, responsible for formulating and executing home office strategy across 16 major distributors. Prior to National Accounts, Mary Pat held the position of Director of Sales Strategy for the US Wealth Advisory business, managing a team responsible for sales effectiveness and client segmentation. Mary Pat also spent 12 years at DWS Investments where she was Head of National Accounts, managing a team responsible for wirehouse, independent and RIA firms.
Eileen M. Sharkey, CFP® is a principal and co-founder of Sharkey, Howes & Javer, a Denver-based Financial Planning and Investment advisory firm.
