Forty Five Ten Opens Doors to 37,000-Square-Foot Luxury Flagship Store
High Design Meets High Fashion in Downtown Dallas
DALLAS, Nov. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Brian Bolke, President and Co-Founder of Forty Five Ten, announced that the luxury brand's new store in the heart of Downtown Dallas is now open. The much-anticipated multilevel fashion emporium marks the most recent addition to the burgeoning Main Street District, a neighborhood notable in the fashion industry as home to the original Neiman Marcus. With owner, Headington Companies, the investment in the Forty Five Ten brand and the construction of this one-of-a-kind flagship location reflects a commitment to creating a unique retail experience.
The four-level, 37,000-square-foot building housing the store marks the debut of the retailer's expansion. It offers customers a signature mix of Forty Five Ten's curated point of view, with more depth and breadth in ready-to-wear, home, beauty and jewelry than it has been able to provide in its original 8,000-square-foot location.
Known for an edited and stylish assortment of lines, the new store features several expanded merchandise categories: Rare Beauty (exclusive fragrances, color and treatment); a fine jewelry salon with new introductions from Monique Péan, Sidney Garber and Fred Leighton; a shoe salon with highlights like Prada, Miu Miu, Gucci and Francesco Russo; books and stationery by Smythson, Connor and an Assouline shop; tabletop collections from Hermès, St. Louis, Puiforcat, Georg Jensen, Baccarat and Christofle. Designer shop-in-shops include: Azzedine Alaïa, Céline, Marc Jacobs, Maison Margiela (all women's) and Berluti (men's).

The new location offers unique connectivity to downtown's most vibrant urban landscape, which includes The Joule hotel, a Headington Companies property located directly across Main Street situated in several beautifully restored 1920s-era structures. This synergy between hospitality and retail provides customers with rare access to a signature menu of lifestyle amenities. From shared concierge services to culinary expertise, The Joule is an integrated partner in providing comprehensive customer service across multiple dimensions. In addition to Neiman Marcus, Forty Five Ten on Main is situated close to several other boutiques, along with spa/fitness facilities, and multiple restaurants.
Led by the project's design architect, Droese Raney Architecture, notable names from many corners of the industry assisted in the interior and exterior design. A dark brick exterior features custom steel, floor-to-ceiling windows and custom metal work. Interior details feature finishes in copper, rose gold, blackened steel, walnut, and Arabescato marble with bronze accents. Custom textiles have been fabricated through the brand partners such as KnollTextiles and KnollLuxe, as well as highlights from their collections with couture talents including Proenza Schouler, Rodarte and David Adjaye.
The store houses a collection of blue-chip artwork including Tracey Emin, Catherine Opie, Juergen Teller, José Dávila, Mario Testino, Bruce Weber and Russell Young. Beyond the interior spaces, the Elm Street motor court, one of the store's two main access points, features a mesmerizing 25-foot tall stainless steel kinetic sculpture, Lucea by noted American artist Anthony Howe, the beneficiary of recent notoriety as the designer of the Rio 2016 Summer Olympic cauldron. Additionally, the store's fourth-floor terrace features a bird's-eye view to artist Tony Tasset's 30-foot sculpture Eye, which is positioned below in a 20,000-square-foot, outdoor event space operated by The Joule.
Located on the first floor, and managed by The Joule, is the Copper Bar, an intimate yet social coffee and Champagne bar with offerings such as espresso, daily bakery treats and midday snacks, all with a focus on Moet, Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart and Dom Perignon.
