Fraud Prevention Provider Continues to Expand Executive Team & Opens U.S. Headquarters in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Forter, the first fraud prevention company to offer a real-time Decision-as a Service™ solution for online merchants, announced today that Craig Eckstrom, former PayPal – eBay Inc. executive, has joined the team as their new Chief Revenue Officer. Eckstrom, whose previous experience also includes leadership positions with Commercehub, Bill Me Later and American Express joins Forter during the company's rapid expansion throughout the U.S., further exemplifying Forter's dedication to providing first-rate omnichannel fraud prevention.
Eckstrom joins Forter as a results-driven sales leader and will be tasked with further building out the company's business in North America. In his new position, Eckstrom will help drive revenue generation and establish a strong presence for Forter's first US business operations. In his previous roles, Eckstrom helped build and manage customer facing teams responsible for acquiring and servicing enterprise merchants for a variety of ecommerce and payment technology-based corporations.
"With Craig's proven leadership and experience driving growth with e-commerce and online payment technology, we are fully confident that his expertise will continue to help our team advance and establish an even stronger presence within the U.S.," said Michael Reitblat, Co-Founder & CEO of Forter. "Our decision to establish a headquarters in the U.S. stems from our tremendous growth and customer needs stateside. We are thrilled to have Craig on board to help us continue delivering a frictionless fraud prevention solution for our customers."
In support of Eckstrom's hire as CRO and in accommodation of the team's growing needs, Forter is opening its first U.S. headquarters in San Francisco. While already experiencing rapid growth and operational expansion in the U.S., the team will continue to build upon that momentum to meet the anticipated need for support surrounding the U.S.'s EMV shift this upcoming October. Forecasting an increase in fraudulent transactions online, Forter's expansion aims to provide its merchants with 360 degrees of protection.
Forter provides fraud prevention solutions for online commerce and mobile payments through behavioral analytics and real-time decision making. Each transaction is analyzed to determine whether it was made by a legitimate customer or a fraudster, and given an immediate approval or decline decision. Forter also offers a 100% money back guarantee, assuring the merchant that if a Forter-approved transaction turns out to be fraudulent, the merchant will be reimbursed for all costs.
