"Eliminating data silos and opening communication between systems improves clinical research operations across the industry," said Srini Kalluri, President, CEO, and Chief Customer Experience Officer at Forte Research Systems.
InfoEd and Forte have signed a partnership agreement and have begun delving into the technical details of the integration. The result will be seamless integration between the OnCore system for clinical research management (OnCore-CRM) and the InfoEd® Human Studies/ IRB Ethics system.
"One of the many strengths of the InfoEd Solution is its capacity to reduce data redundancy, eliminate errors, and improve compliance for Sponsored Programs staff and offices," said InfoEd Global President, Edward Johnson, Jr. "Partnerships like this and the others that we support make sense for our shared clients, for future clients that will benefit from the relationship, and moreover, are in step with our goal to provide best-in-class services to the world's top research institutions."
Enhanced capability to share information across departments and systems, faster communication of review outcomes, and greater transparency throughout the review process are all advantages that the integration will provide to users.
The partnership with InfoEd Global is the first among half a dozen partnerships that Forte is forming with top technology vendors. Forte made their software development toolkit (SDK) for eIRB integration freely available to interested parties after two NCI-designated cancer centers completed pilot projects and successfully integrated their eIRB systems with OnCore.
"Finding great value in the fact that all OnCore products are pre-integrated on a single platform, our customers have been asking us to develop an eIRB product for years," Kalluri said. "However, we know it takes a significant investment of time and resources to develop the domain expertise required to build great systems. So, given that there are well established leaders in the eIRB domain with strong customer bases and mature products, it made immense sense for us to integrate with them rather than reinvent the wheel."
