FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Credit Union Journal named Fort Worth-based EECU Credit Union, a GOBankingRates client, one of the "Best Credit Unions to Work For" in 2014. The financial institution ranked No. 6 in the nation among credit unions with over $1 billion in assets, according to the study by Credit Union Journal and Best Companies Group.

Judges used the following criteria to select the best employers:

Participating credit unions' workplace policies, practices and demographics
Employee surveys assessing the experiences and attitudes of individual employees regarding their workplace
Scores were combined to determine the best credit unions and final ranking
