Fort Smith Housing Authority and Public Service Alliance of Canada reach a collective agreement
Minister Leitch congratulates both parties
OTTAWA, March 2, 2015 /CNW/ - Today, the Honourable Dr. K. Kellie Leitch, Minister of Labour and Minister of Status of Women, congratulated the Fort Smith Housing Authority and the Public Service Alliance of Canada on the renewal of their collective agreement.
The agreement was reached with assistance from the Labour Program's Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS). The FMCS provides dispute resolution and dispute prevention assistance to trade unions and employers under the jurisdiction of the Canada Labour Code.

- The Fort Smith Housing Authority (FSHA) is a public corporation that owns and operates 288 units for seniors and people with disabilities. The FSHA also administers the federal housing subsidy program that provides low-income residents with affordable rental housing in Sebastian County.
- The collective agreement covering all employees expired on March 31, 2014.
