Former Secretary Chertoff, Ambassador Romero and Others to Discuss Recent Crisis of Children at the Border
WASHINGTON, July 29, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Bipartisan Policy Center's Immigration Task Force will host a discussion on the current child immigration crisis at our nation's southern border tomorrow, July 30, at 10:00AM.
Former officials from the Department of Homeland Security, the State Department, the United Nations and refugee advocates will discuss the rapid increase in the number of children from Central America being apprehended, provide context for the current multi-agency process involved in the handling of these children, and address the underlying causes for the influx and what can be done to manage this crisis.
