CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 1, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Carolinas AGC (CAGC) announces that effective March 1, 2011, Danny Shealy, former Director of Construction for the South Carolina Department of Transportation, will be the liaison for CAGC's Highway Division members to the South Carolina Department of Transportation. Mr. Shealy has a long history with CAGC's highway members and has said that he is "excited to be able to continue his relationship with the SC contracting community and is looking forward to regularly seeing CAGC members at all the committee meetings."

Mr. Shealy brings to his role 35 years of experience in a variety of capacities at DOT including inspector, project manager, and construction engineer. He is a civil engineering graduate of the University of South Carolina. Mr. Shealy served on the AASHTO Subcommittee on Construction from 1996 to 2008, and CAGC has honored him twice with the Build with the Best Award in 2006 and 2010.
