Former SAIC Executive Richard Losey Joins Carousel Industries to Lead Services Delivery Organization
As Carousel Expands its Managed Services, Hosted and Cloud Offerings, Losey Will Help Company Streamline its Services across All Product Lines
EXETER, R.I., Dec. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Carousel Industries, a leader in data networking and converged communications, today announced that Richard Losey has joined the company as senior vice president of services. In the newly created role, he will report directly to CEO Jeff Gardner and will be responsible for managing Carousel's services delivery organization, which currently supports more than 5,000 customers. Richard brings 23 years of expertise to Carousel and is committed to further integrating the individual services offerings represented across the company's entire solutions portfolio.
"Our services organization continues to grow, particularly in light of our recent expansion into managed services, hosted and cloud applications," commented Jeff Gardner, chief executive officer of Carousel Industries. "As leader of our services team, Rick will help us streamline our processes and procedures to make it even easier for our customers to get the high level of service they have come to expect from Carousel."
Losey, who will oversee all aspects of Carousel's customer support, maintenance, managed services and installation business, has spent over two decades working the IT industry in various management and operations capacities. Over the course of his career, he has developed a solid reputation as an effective manager of services-related processes and procedures for Fortune 500 companies — including for clients of up to $100 million in revenue in the healthcare, automotive, oil and gas, utilities and pharmaceutical verticals.
Prior to joining Carousel, Losey was a vice president in charge of service delivery at SAIC, where he worked for 16 years — first in IT program management and later in service management and delivery. Over the course of his career, he has also worked for Roadway Logistics and Westinghouse Naval Systems.
"I am joining a team that is extremely well versed and competent in the services category," commented Losey. "I am excited to impart my own expertise and leadership to this team as we establish a solid platform to continue Carousel's continued growth and success over the months and years to come."
