Subscription-based channel available at HermanCainChannel.com.
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- TAPP co-founders Jeff Gaspin, former chairman of NBC Universal Television, and Jon Klein, former president of CNN/U.S.; and Herman Cain, the former candidate for president of the United States, noted business leader and radio host; announce the official launch of the Herman Cain Channel, a subscription-based online network offering Cain supporters unprecedented access to and interaction with him.
Cain serves as executive editor of The Herman Cain Channel (https://HermanCainChannel.com), which went live today. He oversees all content posted to the channel, which includes daily videos and commentary on important issues facing Americans, excerpts from his popular nationally syndicated radio show, and inspirational segments on Cain's personal journey, which took him from modest beginnings to the heights of American business and politics.
"My new channel is all about digging deeper into real solutions for the economic and spiritual problems facing America today," said Cain. "I'm looking forward to mixing it up with my members face to face, in a way we can't do on the radio or campaign trail – and doing so with humor and hard facts."
HermanCainChannel.com will feature regular interviews with prominent national figures, frequent video chats in which subscribers can interact directly with Cain and other channel members, and behind the scenes footage of Cain's many speeches and personal appearances. Cain will also expand on topics and debates tackled during his daily radio show, syndicated via Westwood One (Cox Media/WSB Atlanta) to 4 million listeners in more than 150 markets.
A firm believer in the idea that "success is a journey," Cain will also offer custom programming to inspire and educate subscribers on business, personal success, and leadership.
Membership in the Herman Cain Channel provides a free 7-day trial, and subscription is set at $9.99 per month, or just $99.99 for a full year. In a nod to Mr. Cain's noted "9-9-9" tax plan, the first 999 annual subscribers to the channel will receive an autographed book from Mr. Cain as well as an additional two months of free access to the channel.
"We're delighted to expand the TAPP roster with a personality whose following is as passionate as Herman Cain's," said Gaspin, who serves as TAPP's chairman. "His millions of listeners and social media followers will now be able to get to know and interact with Mr. Cain in a deeper and more meaningful way."
"As we add channels, we're able to promote across our burgeoning network," added Klein, TAPP's CEO. "Our continued growth is yielding eye-opening data, which we apply to our programming and marketing to constantly improve the consumer experience."
Cain joins former Alaska Governor and candidate for Vice President of the United States Sarah Palin; and bestselling author, radio host and relationship counselor Steve Arterburn; on the TAPP platform.
Palin launched her channel (https://SarahPalinChannel.com) in July. This month Palin will debut a series of exclusive on-the-road segments in which subscribers will go behind-the-scenes with the Governor as she hits the campaign trail in Kansas and Louisiana and travels to the Values Voter Summit in Washington, DC.
Arterburn launched New Life TV (https://NewLifeTV.com) in March. More than 500 pieces of on-demand therapy content are now available to subscribers.
Future channels to be launched by TAPP will include popular figures in the fields of sports, entertainment, lifestyle, fitness, finance and more. Gaspin, Klein and co-founder Michael Greer, former Chief Technology Officer of The Onion, announced the creation of the TAPP platform in March 2014.
Investors in TAPP include Discovery Communications, as well as individuals including investment bankers Ken Moelis and Peter Ezersky. They were recently joined by Luminari Capital, a Silicon Valley venture fund founded by Daniel Leff to invest in disruption and innovation in the digital video ecosystem.
Herman Cain grew up in Atlanta, Georgia with little but loving parents who knew that the key to achieving the American dream was hard work, an ethic passed on to their sons. Cain graduated from Morehouse College and continued his education by earning his Master's degree in computer science from Purdue University while working full-time developing fire control systems for the Department of the Navy. He would eventually become the successful Chairman and C.E.O. of Godfather's Pizza and sit on the board of directors for several multi-national corporations. He was an electrifying figure in the 2012 Republican presidential primaries, noted for his plain speech and ability to connect with audience. His daily radio show, syndicated by Cox Media, reaches 4 million people across the United States.
