Former Pirch Distribution Center in N.J. Available For Sublease

MOONACHIE, N.J., Nov. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- A&G Realty Partners today announced the availability for sublease of a nearly 50,000-square-foot distribution center formerly operated by Pirch, the San Diego, Calif.-based retailer known for its sumptuous showrooms filled with kitchen, bath and outdoor products.

The sublease of the Moonachie distribution center is the final step in a portfolio reorganization spearheaded by A&G for Pirch. Located at 5 Garden St., the 2.5-acre property is strategically located near interstates 46, 80 and 95 to provide quick access to Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and other points throughout the Northeast. "It's just 10 miles from Manhattan and has a number of amenities, making it attractive to any number of potential users," said Todd Eyler, A&G Managing Director.

The single-story, 48,924-square-foot building includes a 4,800-square-foot office area; eight loading docks; a drive-in door; 44-plus parking spaces, and a wet sprinkler system, among other features. The sublease is being brokered by Cushman & Wakefield's Iselin, N.J. office.

Pirch has worked with the Melville, N.Y.-based A&G since August to rationalize its real estate portfolio, as the retailer moved to a narrowed focus on better-performing stores in California. "As part of that process, A&G helped Pirch dispose of six East Coast and Midwest showrooms, each averaging approximately 25,000 square feet," noted Eyler.

In addition, the firm helped terminate leases for Pirch's 27,000-square-foot San Diego corporate headquarters as well as four other distribution centers in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, and Austin, each averaging about 30,000 square feet.
