Former Nordstrom and Deloitte Digital execs join Fitcode's board of directors
Loretta Soffe and Achim Bassler bring extensive retail and technical expertise to the fashion data company's advisory team
SEATTLE, March 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Fitcode, a fashion data company that specializes in women's denim, recently added Nordstrom alum Loretta Soffe and former Deloitte Digital leader Achim Bassler to its advisory board.
Their combined expertise in retail and digital will help Fitcode further refine its offering and nurture additional partnerships with retailers and denim brands.
Soffe has provided Fitcode with strategic insight and direction since its founding in 2014. She's regarded in the industry as one of the foremost authorities on retail, merchandising, and consumer-based strategy.
"Fitcode is a true innovator," says Soffe. "It's redefining the way that women shop for denim to provide a better experience for consumers and a better return for brands and retailers."
During Soffe's 24 years at Nordstrom she held positions in buying, merchandising, and product development. Most notably, she served as Executive Vice President/General Merchandise Manager of Women's Apparel for 10 years, where she ran the company's largest division with annual sales of $2 billion.
Bassler brings 20 years of technology experience. He most recently held leadership positions in business development, operations, and technology strategy and implementation at Deloitte Digital, a full service digital agency within Deloitte Consulting. During his tenure, Bassler helped establish and grow Deloitte Digital into a leading digital agency serving Fortune 500 clients around the world.
Prior to Deloitte, Bassler was the Vice President of Software Development and Delivery Services at Ubermind, a digital agency that he helped co-found in 1999 and was later acquired by Deloitte in 2012. He also held management positions at IBM and Vallent, Inc.
"Fitcode represents the future of retail personalization," says Bassler. "We've designed the experience to be quick and lightweight for our partners, while providing them with massive amounts of actionable data and a high-quality user experience."
Her perfect fit starts here
Fitcode helps women quickly and easily shop for the perfect pair of jeans for their unique body type by focusing on fit, not size. Women are assigned a Fitcode after taking a short fit quiz—no measurements needed.
Fitcode integrated with Hudson Jeans in Fall 2016; JAG Jeans in February 2017; and will be launching its integration with AG Adriano Goldschmied in Q2 2017.
Supported retail and denim partners also include Nordstrom, NYDJ, 7 For All Mankind, Citizens of Humanity, J Brand, JOE'S Jeans, Paige, FRAME Denim, Kut from the Kloth, and Blank NYC.
