Former NBA Veteran and Front Office Exec Jared Jeffries Joins Echo Fox as President

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., July 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Vision Venture Partners (VVP), a private equity firm whose founders combine decades of business success and value creation from the high tech, video game and professional sports industries, announced the appointment of Jared Jeffries as President of Echo Fox, one of three esports-focused companies in the VVP portfolio. Jeffries will assume responsibility for Echo Fox operations including player recruiting and team development.

Jeffries recently served as Director of Player Personnel for the Denver Nuggets NBA team and will take his sharp eye for discovering and nurturing athletic talent to Echo Fox. Jeffries will officially join Echo Fox on August 1st and will report to Jace Hall, a member of the VVP operating team committee, along with Chris Nordling and Stratton Sclavos.

After earning college basketball honors as "Big Ten Player of the Year" for the Indiana Hoosiers' 2002 national runner up team, Jeffries was drafted #11 in the NBA draft. What followed was an 11-year NBA career as a center or forward for teams including the Washington Wizards, New York Knicks, Houston Rockets and Portland Trailblazers. He joined the Nuggets front office in the summer of 2013.

As Echo Fox President, Jeffries will be actively involved in roster selection and team management, player recruiting, hiring and managing team coaches and GMs and overseeing player training, health and wellness programs. He'll also take a role in Echo Fox brand building, including overseeing the streaming platforms, social media efforts and sponsor and advertiser relationships.
