ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The commercial building that until recently served as the home to Classic Manufacturing is being sold at auction, along with 14.5 acres of land. Grafe Auction is selling the property in a live auction Thursday, Nov. 5, with online bidding up to the start of the live event.
"This is going to be a great corporate home for somebody, with a combination of quality office space and climate-controlled commercial space that can serve a wide variety of uses, from manufacturing to storage. It would also be an excellent home for a technical school or college," said Judd Grafe, president of the Spring Valley-based auction company.
"A lot of people don't even know this is back there, because it's set back off Highway 5, just west of I-694. The former owner used it for a diverse business that included machine work, engineering, software development and even robotic integration," said Grafe.
In the front is an 8,200-square-foot air-conditioned office area that features custom woodwork and paneling, as well as large windows to make the most of the surrounding views. The rest is approximately 40,000 square feet with 18-foot ceilings, two loading docks and two overhead drive-through doors.
"In recent years, we've seen the difference a pleasant work environment can make in helping a company attract and keep qualified employees. The quality of the building, combined with the natural beauty of the outdoor surroundings, can be a significant asset to the next owner," said Grafe.
Bidding is already under way at grafeauction.com and will continue until 11 a.m. on Nov. 5. Individuals seeking additional information may visit the web site or call 800-328-5920.
