FRENCHTOWN, N.J., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Revelation Generation (http://www.revgen.org) recently announced the addition of rock legend Lou Gramm (Foreigner) to its annual Labor Day weekend music festival, September 4 and 5, in Frenchtown, NJ. Gramm will join a host of other stars for the ERACE All Star Jam on Sunday evening. Other headliners at Revelation Generation include Skillet, The Devil Wears Prada, Anberlin, Relient K, Fireflight, and BarlowGirl.
Revelation Generation, one of the premier concert events on the East Coast. draws music fans from the greater New York City and Philadelphia region — from the Jersey Shore to Manhattan, from Center City to rural Pennsylvania, and beyond. The event features 60 bands on five stages with a wide variety of genres, including classic rock-n-roll, metal, hip-hop, rap, acoustic, jazz, and more.
Gramm was the lead singer with Foreigner for 26 years as the band consistently cranked out mega-hits such as "Midnight Blue," "Hot Blooded," "Feels like the First Time," and "Waiting for a Girl Like You." Overall, the rock-n-roll veteran is the vocalist on 20 Top 40 singles, which continue to drive sales of nearly 80 million albums worldwide. Avid music lovers would agree that Gramm is one of the most distinctive and powerful voices to emerge from rock music.
The ERACE All Star Jam is led by the energetic and talented artist TobyMac, who brings concert-goers to their feet with a unique mix of funk, hip-hop and R & B. TobyMac co-founded the ERACE foundation 15 years ago to support and empower organizations that foster racial harmony and unity. Among the group of festival promoters and event planners involved in the execution of RevGen the verdict is unanimous: with the addition of ERACE to the lists, this year's edition promises to provide attendees an unsurpassed festival experience.
With five music stages, "RevGen is already a diverse event," said TobyMac. "With the ERACE All Star jam, it will even more diverse."
The jam will feature an eclectic and accomplished group of musicians from various genres. In addition to Gramm, the All Star Jam also features renowned guitarist Phil Keaggy; Southern Blues Grammy-Award winner Tommy Sims, who has worked with stars such as Cheryl Crow and Bruce Springsteen; Louisiana roots musician Marc Broussard; jazz/R & B bass guitarist extraordinaire Bernard Harris, four-time vocalist-of-the-year Dove Award winner Natalie Grant, and Gospel group Mary Mary.
Last year, Revelation Generation welcomed more than 30,000 fans in a one and a half day format. To accommodate the ever-rising interest in the festival – and in anticipation of even greater attendance in 2010 – Revelation Generation has shifted to a Saturday/Sunday format that includes two full days of music, games, demonstrations, speakers, and extreme sports. The "event of the summer" also features children's activities, great food, and a huge merchandise tent. Throughout the festival, artists will stop by Tent 7 to share their stories, providing fans with unprecedented access to band members. Revelation Generation — held on a scenic, 140-acre property owned by founders Robert and Kim Grom — is a memorable concert experience that offers something for everyone, including groups, kids, families, and singles.
