PLANTATION, Fla., May 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Former college and pro football quarterback John Congemi has accepted the position of Director of Corporate Development for C3/CustomerContactChannels, a global provider of customer contact services.

Congemi, who will be based at the firm's corporate headquarters in Plantation, Fla., will coordinate business development, as well as initiate and support key client relationships for C3.
Congemi has a long-standing relationship with C3's ownership group and understands the firm's philosophy of building brand value and the importance of being a team player.

After a successful eight-year career in pro football, mostly in the Canadian Football League, Congemi entered the broadcast booth working as a color announcer for the Miami Hurricanes. He later worked as a college football analyst and play-by-play man for ESPN and ESPNU.
Congemi knows firsthand what it's like to fill some big shoes. In the early 1980s, he replaced former Miami Dolphin legend Dan Marino at the University of Pittsburgh, where he spent four years as the starting quarterback. Congemi led his team to the Fiesta Bowl in 1984 and won MVP honors. Congemi grew up in South Florida where he attended Fort Lauderdale's Saint Thomas Aquinas High School.
