Former FEC Attorney Beth Beacham and Former Mario Diaz-Balart Aide Carlos M. Gutierrez, Jr. Join Clark Hill PLC's Washington DC Office
WASHINGTON, Sept. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Elizabeth N. "Beth" Beacham and Carlos M. Gutierrez, Jr. have joined Clark Hill PLC's Washington DC office. "We are pleased to announce that Beth and Carlos have joined our team," Clark Hill Washington Managing Member Charlie Spies said. "Their experience in the public and private sectors brings a terrific perspective to our strong and growing team of professionals."
Beacham served as Executive Assistant and Counsel to Federal Election Commission Chairman Donald McGahn, and previously served as Chief Counsel to the National Republican Congressional Committee. She will be joining Clark Hill as Of Counsel to the Political Law practice. "Beth is an experienced political law professional and we are fortunate to have her join our team during this busy election season," said Spies. Beacham earned her B.A. from Emmanuel College in Georgia, and her J.D. from the Catholic University of America.
Gutierrez joins Clark Hill as a Policy Associate in the firm's Government and Public Affairs practice with a focus on financial services and regulatory strategies. Gutierrez has served as a Legislative Assistant to Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25) as well as a consultant in the Trade and Integration Sector at the Inter-American Development Bank, focused on global trade promotion practices, and the treatment of Agriculture in Regional Trade Agreements. "Carlos has strong international trade and financial services policy experience and will add depth to our growing Government and Public Affairs practice," said Spies. Gutierrez earned his B.A. from the University of Michigan, his Masters in Business Leadership from Georgetown University, and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
