Foresters Financial Launches First Investors Hedged U.S. Equity Opportunities Fund

NEW YORK, Aug. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ - Foresters Financial™ has launched a new equity mutual fund—the First Investors Hedged U.S. Equity Opportunities Fund—which offers investors total return and equity market exposure with potentially reduced portfolio volatility.

This Fund seeks to provide investors with a portfolio that will generate attractive long-term total returns, but with some downside equity market protection.

In a time of increasing market volatility, hedged equity investing has become popular with investors who want total return and equity market exposure but with some downside protection. This type of Fund uses "hedged" or "defensive equity" strategies to reduce risk in adverse market environments.
