Forecast5 Releases Latest Version of 5Maps Geo-analytic Application

NAPERVILLE, Ill., March 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Forecast5 Analytics, Inc. announces new features available in 5Maps, its geo-analytic application for the public sector. 5Maps allows users to upload their data onto a Google Map for the purpose of generating business insights with geographic perspective.  The initial application was released in 2014 and has continuously evolved as Forecast5 customers have discovered new ways to use the application.

"We did not want to limit our clients' business creativity with an application that was too rigid or overly defined. We also wanted the ability to handle almost any type of data that could be associated with a location or area and put it onto a map. Several new features have been added to 5Maps including:

• Ability to use multiple icons, or pin shapes, to represent individual data sets on a single map
• Ability to color code pins based on an attribute within the data set
• Ability to tag data associated with an area or region and then filter maps based on tags
• Ability to generate, create and save digital maps and export them to a corporate website
